Who's coming along?

Each walk is private to your group alone.

How many of you will fly a hawk?

From seven guests the walk runs as two or more groups, and we arrange those personally. Anyone just watching is added below.

Are any of your group children?

Anyone just coming to watch?

Spectators walk with you but don't fly a hawk. Two at most online, and they must be 7 or over too. More than two watching? Mention it in the notes later and we will see what we can do.

We'll use this to confirm your walk and to reach you on the day if the weather turns.

Access needs, health notes, anything that could affect an hour on uneven woodland paths. A falconer reads every note personally, and it may add a quick review before your time confirms.

I understand the Hawk Walk is a hands-on hour over uneven woodland terrain, that wheelchairs and mobility aids cannot be accommodated, and that everyone in my group can manage a moderate walk on foot.

Where

Ireland's School of Falconry, within the grounds of Ashford Castle, Cong, Co. Mayo, F31 YF90.

Park at the castle car park and allow ten minutes to walk through the grounds. The school is signposted from the far side of the castle.

Arrival

Please be with us 10 minutes before your time. Arriving more than 15 minutes late means the hawks are fed and the walk is cancelled without refund, so do leave time to park.

What to wear

Long sleeves and closed shoes that can manage woodland paths. The walk goes ahead rain or shine, the hawks fly in both. Bring a camera.

Thank you. A falconer will reply by email within a day. No payment has been taken, and nothing is booked until you say yes.
